Vonda Howard

Vonda Howard was born and raised in Southeast Washington, DC where she currently still resides with her 2 kids and husband of 13 years. She has always had a love affair with writing.   She wrote her first book (unpublished) at 10 years old and has not stopped since.

She self published her first novels "Diamond Lives, Platunum Lies" and "It's Always the Pretty Ones" in 2007 and 2008. Shantae Birton

Shantae Birton is a transportation supervisor in Maryland.  She is also a professional face painter and cake decorator.  In her spare time, she enjoys taking vacations with her family.  Reading is a true passion of hers that led her to become President and Founder of the Sisterhood Connection Book Club, which is based in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.  She has been writing stories since childhood. She wrote Ruined in 2004. Her second novel, Savage Prey, will be released in December 2011.  She was born and raised in Montgomery County, Maryland and she still resides there with her husband, son, and daughter.

Teruka Carey

Teruka B. Carey is a former resident of Beckley, West Virginia. Raised there for nearly her whole life, she didn't decide to write fiction until the untimley passing of her father in "06". Although writing was something she wanted to do she didn't have the drive to do so until then.

Nika Michelle

Nika Michelle is originally from NC, but currently resides in Atlanta, GA. She holds a BA in Communications and English Literature from Fayetteville State University. She discovered a love for books at an early age, which sparked her interest in writing. In middle and high school she would pen short stories and pass them around to her classmates. She completed her first novel Forbidden Fruit: A Street Tale in college and is currently working on the sequel. She has many more novels to come.

Kaira Denee

Kaira Denee was born in Boston, MA. Both her parents were enlisted in the U.S. Army so she was raised in Germany, Texas, Louisiana, Virginia and finally settled in Connecticut where she has lived for the last fourteen years.

Kaira self published her debut novel, Take it There in 2005. She signed on with Anexander Books to continue her writing career.

Kaira resides in Connecticut with her husband and two children. Her next novel My Husband’s Fiance will be released Oct 2009.

Jerald Howard

Jerald Howard was born in Bartow, Florida and raised in Huger, South Carolina. He has always had a strong love for reading and writing. As a child he would write short stories and poetry.A graduate of Clemson University, he has worked many jobs. From managing restaurants, gyms, and small corporations...he has done a little of everything. Not able to find peace in what he was doing, he went back to his first love...writing.

Realizing that his skill of writing was a gift from God, he decided that he would try to help others with that gift. Not only will his writings help by providing laughter and healing, but proceeds from the sales of each book will be used to help others. With One Life...One Night, half of all proceeds go towards the research and development of a cure for breast cancer.
